1. I’m not part of Sovereign Grace. May I attend the College?

Because we have limited resources, our mission is restricted to training men for ministry within the Sovereign Grace family of churches.  In keeping with this, the Pastors College requires applicants to provide a pastoral recommendation from a Sovereign Grace church. A pastoral recommendation provides a strong indication that a man is ready for full time ministry within Sovereign Grace. If you are not currently a part of a Sovereign Grace Ministries church, the admissions process begins by exploring our family of churches. You can do this by visiting one of our churches or by contacting us.

2. Do you make exceptions?

We ask for your understanding as we are unable to make exceptions to this. Any potential Pastors College student must have at least developed a relationship with a Sovereign Grace pastor or a member of the Sovereign Grace leadership team.  We, therefore, encourage you to take the steps above to pursue Sovereign Grace Ministries further.

3. What if I am currently in ministry elsewhere?

Occasionally, men from other ministries have attended the Pastors College as an entryway into ministry within Sovereign Grace. These men began this process by simply exploring Sovereign Grace Ministries. We encourage you to do the same by visiting one of our conferences or following the steps mentioned above.

4. Can I be considered for a Sovereign Grace church internship?

Within Sovereign Grace Ministries, individual churches organize pastoral ministry internships. Churches usually give these invitation-only positions to church members in order to prepare them for full-time pastoral ministry.

5. What is the mission of the Pastors College?

The Pastors College’s mission is to train men for pastoral ministry within Sovereign Grace Ministries. Read more.

6. Is the Pastors College accredited?

The Pastors College is not accredited or recognized as a formal seminary. It is a church-based training program that prepares men both academically and practically for ministry, but it does not offer college credit.

7. What do your students do after graduation?

Ideally, students serve in full-time ministry immediately upon graduating. Usually, they intern at a local Sovereign Grace church to gain additional training prior to ordination. At times, however, students enter directly into an ordained pastoral role, depending on their calling and the needs in our ministry. Graduation from the Pastors College does not guarantee that a student will become a Sovereign Grace Ministries pastor, but we hope that they will.
